• Carl Vast and Terry Russell (guitar and trombone) play an eclectic repertoire with their intriguing combination of instruments. The addition of John Calloway (flute, piano, Latin percussion) creates a remarkable trio.

• Carl Vast and Steve Rubardt carry on a rich jazz tradition—the guitar and piano duo. Jazz, Bossa Nova and timeless standards are performed with a playful interchange of melody and rhythm.

Many other instruments can be added or substituted, including oboe, flugelhorn, recorder, vibes and clarinet.

Solo Guitar
Carl performs a dynamic mix of jazz, swing, Bossa Nova, blues, standards, folk/rock, wedding music and original compositions on electric and acoustic guitars.

Groups
• The BBC Jazz Trio (sax, bass and guitar) plays mainstream jazz, Bossa Nova and swing, emphasizing intuitive ensemble music. Since 1984, the Trio (Bob Drew, Bill Fouty and Carl Vast) has continued to define its style and expand its repertoire.

• The Carl Vast Quartet (guitar, sax, bass and drums) engages concert audiences with compelling presentations of jazz heritage. For social or corporate events, the Quartet also offers dance grooves and background jazz.

• Bel Canto (flute or violin with guitar and bass) performs a wide range of popular, jazz, ethnic and classical pieces as background or wedding music. This versatile trio features either Bob Afifi (flute / alto flute) or Linda Ghidossi-DeLuca (violin / viola).
